Roskilde Domkirken

Roskilde Domkirken inside
A little late rising this morning, 8:15a. Walked around part of the bay at Praesto Fjord. Lots of bird life with babies, as I mentioned already. After breakfast, we drove to Roskilde to visit its well-known Dom Kirke and Viking Ship Museum.

Finally, Coperhagen city centre. After a couple of circles with the van we found a place to park for the night across from an antique store adjacent the Tivoli. I did not know what a Tivoli was and Christian graciously introduced me to the concept and we decided to visit it later. First we found the fussgang zone and followed it up to the Opera House and Schloß and then back again to look for a restaurant. It rained really hard for some minute but the rest of the evening remained warm and dry.
We ate at a cafe/restaurant after checking out a few places. We noticed that many of the menus were offering diverse cultural dishes. Christian had a steak dinner while I ordered Mexican food.
On our way to the Tivoli we stopped to listen to a group of Russian performers played some classics on their marimbaphone and vibraphone. Excellent!
Tivoli
Called Christian's parents from a payphone outside the Tivoli to ask them to try and pick up Björk concert tickets then went into the Tivoli grounds to play :) The live entertainment that evening was provided by Randi Lauman band. Later we played a couple of games, bean bag throw (I won a lollipop), and target shooting (won a stuffed dog)(you did great Christian!)
